Some aspect of the plot reminds me of the movie Osage County, but I will not give spoilers. The author commented somewhere that she is getting some negativity from some people, so if you get a chance to read the book, please take the time to leave her a positive review as people who are capable of seeing the worth of pushing boundaries in fiction.
